Thursday, 10th January, the same day that the first issue of Time Out Barcelona hit the streets, more than 1,000 people filled Barcelona’s Apolo room to celebrate the launch of the new magazine edited by Toni Puntí and published by Sàpiens Publicacions of Grup Cultura 03. In addition to the founder of Time Out London, Tony Elliott, prominent representatives from Catalan regional institutions also attended, such as Joan Manuel Treserras, the Catalan Minister of Culture, and the president of Parliament, Ernest Benach. Important figures from the city of Barcelona were also in attendance such as the director of Culture, Jordi Martí, as well as celebrated representatives from the communication, culture and leisure sector. Jaume Sisa was responsible for closing the evening with the popular song «Qualsevol nit pot sortir el sol» after lively DJ sessions, and musical and dance performances.
