Batabat is an audiovisual producer that develops quality productions and with a vocation for maximum audience with an essential ethical commitment.
Batabat offers innovative audiovisual products both in their form and content, searching for the combination between entertainment and quality, dynamism and depth.

Batabat's founding team consists of the journalists David Bassa, Marc Roma and Oriol Cortacans. David Bassa is the director and writer of Memria de linfern (Memoir of Hell), a documentary about Catalans in the Nazi concentration camps. He was a reporter for Catalunya avui (Catalunya Today) on TVE and is editor for La nit al dia (Night to Day) on TV3. He has worked as editor for the 'El 9 Nou' newspaper for 10 years and is the author of various books of journalistic studies. Marc Roma has worked for TVC for 10 years. He was the programme designer and writer for Cuina per solters (Cooking for Singles) and sub-director of En camp contrari (On the Other Side). Also at TVC, he coordinated La setmana dfrica (Africa Week) fn and was a writer for Les dues cares (Both Sides). Oriol Cortacans has worked in various forms of media, especially magazines. He was an editor for the weekly magazine "El Temps" (Time), where he ran the International Section.

In 2005, Oriol Cortacans and Marc Roma created, directed and scripted “Passatgers” (Passengers), shown on TVC.
