At the end of the 19th century, this region became a banner for the rediscovery of Catalonia driven by the Renaixença — the new issue of the magazine Descobrir Catalunya explains why. It also lets us in on how the Romanesque works of the area inspired architects like Lluís Domènech i Muntaner and takes a look at the numerous mountain tops that, like the Aneto, were the stage for the origins of hiking in Catalonia.
In this first issue of 2007, the magazine Descobrir takes a look at the popular Catalan bestiary as well as the traditional architecture of Ampurdán and the village of Sant Cugat del Vallès. The journalist Joan Barril discovers a few spots in Namibia, land of the Himba people.
