The Jaume Fuster library, the Gas Natural headquarters, the Fórum building and the Torre Agbar de Jean Nouvel are some of the new symbols of Barcelona architecture, according to the magazine Descobrir Catalunya. The March issue defends this standpoint in a report describing the legacy of the new surge the city is experiencing.
As the cover story, this issue features an extensive report on the countryside along the course of the river Senia, which acts as an administrative border between southern Catalonia and northern País Valencià. Located between the Ports mountains and the sea, the Senia region is a unit of culture, humanity and landscape. Although far from the big cities (Barcelona and Valencia), the area could never be considered peripheral, quite the contrary, it acts as a bridge and a point of convergence between them.
